A strategic leader with deep expertise in asset management, capital markets, and managing high-growth teams, Dubeck joined Planet Financial Group in 2013 and by 2019 had grown it into a multi-channel mortgage banking organization with a $16 billion servicing portfolio.
Dubeck got his start in the mortgage business at First Boston Corp., New York, producing portfolio reports for the trading desk, and later as a trader on the mortgage desk. He moved on to Morgan Stanley, New York, where he built a $1 billion-a-year scratch-and-dent securitization book of business, created a whole loan trading platform, acquired and ran a $65 billion servicing operations for Morgan’s Saxon subsidiary, and managed the mortgage trading desk and secondary/capital markets across all products.
He continued finding ways to increase competitive advantages when he moved to Hudson Advisors/LoneStar Funds, New York. As platform director – mortgage asset management, Mike was responsible for risk management, funding, and asset monetization of $10 billion in servicing. While there, he completely revamped asset management and servicing strategies and significantly enhanced returns using IRR-driven models he created to handle pricing, underwriting, and servicer-level decision-making.
